A Long Winter

In upstate New York, it is now officially a long winter. Yesterday, we had several feet of snow dumped on us. I like snow but this is extreme. With work commitments and the cold weather, I haven't been riding as much as I would like. But I have to say that on the whole my lessons with Iz have shown improvement in both my riding and her performance. They are little strides forward but I will take what I can get. We did have a lameness scare earlier in the week. She was off on Wednesday but by Friday completely sound. Again I will take what I can get. I'll close with a photo from a few weeks ago when we had some actual sunshine to remind us that spring is coming... someday.
